Lollie & Micks's Lessons on Caring about Animals

Lollie & Micks's Lessons on Caring about Animals

Get Ready to Go On a “Heavenly” Adventure With Lollie and Micks, the Cat!

In this second magically illustrated book from the Lollie & Micks’s Lessons from the Rainbow Bridge series, you and Lollie will have fun learning important lessons about how to take good care of all of God’s amazing creatures from Micks the cat, some of her surprising animal friends, and from Jesus!

This book will offer creative prompts for wonderful, meaningful conversations with your child about:
• Dominion and Stewardship: What’s the difference?
• Learn the ways we can care for animals in the same way that God takes care of us.
• How to help your child navigate his/her grief from the passing of a pet or human loved one and transform it into something hopeful.

Small acts of kindness go a long way! Think of all the gifts that our pets give to us; they warm our hearts and make us feel very special. Gifting the same love to our beloved pets is a wonderful way to show them our true appreciation. It is also a beautiful way to thank all of God’s creatures for making our lives happy and fulfilling!

Meet Lollie & Micks

Thank you for choosing to share this book with your children. I also thank you for choosing to be open to understanding and discussing the passing of a pet in a positive and hopeful way.

In Job 12:7-10, we read: But ask the animals, and they will teach you, the birds of the air, and they will tell you; ask the plants of the earth, and they will teach you, and the fish of the sea will declare to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of every human being. If we are willing to open our hearts and minds, animals can teach us the importance of exercising dominion over them in the same way that God exercises dominion over us: with respect, love, patience, kindness, compassion, humility, and dignity.

I believe God’s perfect plan for creation is for humankind to recognize and appreciate that all living beings are interconnected with, and interdependent upon each other. We cohabit God’s world equally, and it is up to us two-legged creatures to spread that message and make it our reality!
